What are Skills?
Skills are reusable capability packs that teach AI agents how to run domain workflows.
Skills are reusable capability packs for AI agents. A Skill typically packages instructions, conventions, and sometimes supporting assets so an agent can perform a domain task more reliably — for example optimizing an Amazon listing, researching a niche, or following a site’s content workflow.
Think of a Skill as a playbook the agent can load, not a standalone SaaS app. You (or your agent host) attach the Skill; the agent follows it when the task matches.

Skills vs MCP
- Skills focus on how the agent should approach a workflow (steps, quality bars, output format).
- MCP focuses on connecting the agent to live tools and data.
A strong ecommerce agent setup often uses both: Skills for judgment and structure, MCP for marketplace and tool access.
