Overview

Keepa MCP (cosjef/keepa_MCP) is an open-source Model Context Protocol server that wraps Keepa's product and market APIs for Claude Desktop and other MCP hosts. It turns Keepa's engineer-oriented endpoints into conversational tools for Amazon product research: lookups, batch ASIN analysis, price history, deal discovery, sales velocity, category intelligence, and seller lookups.

You must supply a paid Keepa API key (KEEPA_API_KEY). Keepa bills by token consumption; heavier history calls cost more tokens than basic product info.

How to Use

  2. Clone or install the server from https://github.com/cosjef/keepa_MCP and follow the README for build / npx / Docker commands.
  3. Create API credentials for the underlying platform and put them in the MCP env block — never commit secrets.
  4. Register the server in your client MCP config (Claude Desktop claude_desktop_config.json or Cursor mcp.json), then restart the client.
  5. Start with read-only prompts; enable write tools only after you understand scopes and confirmation settings.
