Overview

Jungle Scout MCP (launched June 2026) is a Model Context Protocol server that connects your AI assistant directly to Jungle Scout's Amazon marketplace intelligence. It turns a plain-English business question into a data-grounded answer — no SQL, dashboard configuration or manual exports required. It is powered by Cobalt, Jungle Scout's enterprise Amazon intelligence platform, and works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and approved custom/internal AI environments. Access requires a Cobalt subscription.

Key Features

  • Plain-English market intelligence: ask "why is a competitor gaining share?" or "which price tiers are growing?" and get answers grounded in real Amazon data — category growth, market share, competitors, pricing, keywords, products, sellers and brand performance.
  • Coverage areas (depends on your Cobalt subscription and data access): market share and category growth, brands and sellers, products and ASINs, pricing and price tiers, keywords and Share of Voice, product attributes, brand performance, and connected sales/advertising data.
  • Follow-up diagnostics: investigate the drivers behind any result — competitive movement, price-band changes, assortment gaps, search visibility, seller activity, Buy Box issues and new product launches.
  • Actionable outputs: turn findings into category briefings, QBR summaries, scorecards, spreadsheets, alerts, planning documents, product recommendations or executive updates.
  • Agentic execution: pairs with agentic tools like Claude Cowork (Anthropic's desktop agent) — the MCP finds the insight, Cowork drafts the brief, posts a Slack alert or saves a report to Drive.
  • Team features: live Q&A, pinned scorecards, scheduled briefings, cross-tool actions and mobile access. Roadmap additions include review sentiment analysis and packaged agent skills for common workflows.
  • Underlying data: Jungle Scout has 40,000 active seller engagements, tracks ~18% of Amazon's GMV and trains its AccuSales™ algorithm on 10+ years of data covering hundreds of millions of products.

How to Use

  1. Hold an eligible vendor subscription (see Pricing) and open the official MCP product page.
  2. Follow the vendor setup guide: https://www.junglescout.com/products/jungle-scout-mcp/
  3. Connect an MCP client (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) with the credentials / connector the vendor provides.
  4. Ask plain-language Amazon/ops questions; confirm tool calls before writes when the client supports approvals.
  5. Revoke access from the vendor dashboard when finished or when rotating keys.

Pricing

Jungle Scout MCP requires a Cobalt subscription — no standalone pricing. Cobalt is Jungle Scout's enterprise tier (for companies with $1M+ annual revenue) with custom, consultative pricing per user, starting with a demo. It is the counterpart to the self-serve Catalyst plans (Starter $29/mo, Growth Accelerator $49/mo, Brand Owner + CI $129/mo). Existing Jungle Scout or Cobalt customers should contact their Customer Success Manager or account rep for access.

Best For

Enterprise Amazon brands, agencies, retailers and data buyers — e-commerce directors, category managers, revenue leaders, compliance and performance-marketing teams — that need fast, defensible, AI-delivered answers about their categories, competitors and assortment without adding reporting steps.

FAQ

What is Jungle Scout MCP?

A Model Context Protocol server ("an API for AI") that gives approved AI platforms a secure, direct connection to Jungle Scout/Cobalt's Amazon marketplace intelligence so answers are grounded in real marketplace data rather than general model knowledge.

Which AI tools does it work with?

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and approved custom or internal AI environments that support MCP connections.

Does it replace Cobalt?

No — it extends Cobalt's intelligence into conversational AI workflows so teams access the same trusted data faster and in more places.

Is it free?

No — it requires a Cobalt (enterprise) subscription; access is granted through Jungle Scout's customer success/demo process, not a public self-serve checkout.
